A few of former students are taking advantage of my generosity

It is funny. I have students who will absolutely hate biology and complain about class every single day but then they come back to visit all the time in the following years. I don't mind and it is actually good for my current students to see that they do come back and that they like me. They've all heard horror stories about how the class is impossible and I'm evil blah blah blah so they see that I'm really not that bad.
Anyway I keep a stash of snacks on hand mostly for myself but also for students. I used to have a fridge in my old classroom so I'd keep yogurt, clementines, cheese sticks, etc. in there and things like protein bars, rice krispie treats, nuts, pretzels, etc. They know they can ask for something if they are hungry and don't have anything on hand. So far this year I don't have a fridge so it is all non-refrigerated stuff.
I've had a few students stop by to say hi and then ask for a snack. I say yes. One day a girl took a rice krispie treat, a protein bar, *and* some pretzel crisps. I was like "what the hell?!?!" Today a kid came by a couple of times (and spent the last 2 class periods in my room since he gets out early but was waiting for Bible Study Club). As far as I can tell today he had 2 rice krispie treats, a protein bar, and a cup of ramen noodles.
I told him that he'd better bring in some stuff to restock my supply. I am going to have to start cutting them off if they keep being so greedy. I don't mind sharing with them but this is stuff I pay for myself. I'm not rich.

The students know how to get things free from you

Now that is taking advantage of indeed. Perhaps a nice sign by the snack one per day or somethign like that,

, kids really do act like your room is a vending machine sometimes. That kid eating 2 rice krispies, a protein bar AND ramen is wild lol. You're way too nice, I'd have started rationing after the girl grabbed three things at once.
