I'm terrible with technology. Truly. My iPhone 13 decided to off itself last month so I had to get a new one. I don't even know what it is. I think a 17 SE. I don't care. As long as I can text and make calls on it I'm fine. It took me a couple of weeks to notice that my Apple Watch wasn't synced to it. I wasn't getting texts or calls or much of anything on the watch. I finally got around to trying to deal with that yesterday. The University of Google said that I needed to clear the watch in order to pair it with a new phone. The idea of "clearing" it made me nervous but I just went with it. It worked! I did it! The watch is now paired with the new iPhone. I impressed myself. I was sure I was going to have to get my ex to deal with it. I guess Apple is now just really dumbing stuff down so the non-tech people can deal with these issues.

I had this problem when my phone was replaced last Christmas. My Apple Watch was a gift a few years ago as the kids wanted me to have it for the health options it has. I was looking up how to synch it to the new phone and my youngest so snatched it up and had it synched before I knew what was happening.

Good for you, girl! I have to the realization I’ll always have to live near my IT friend or BIL because I’m the least techie person out there.

Lol I feel this so much, the "clearing" part always scares me too. Good for you for figuring it out yourself instead of calling someone. Apple really do make things easy once you just trust the process a little.
