Lovely day out ....but car broke down ! / myLot

Well, we were up and out early this morning as we were off to the antique fair and it was going to take around an hour to get there. We obviously didn't want to miss any bargains. We got there in good time. We saw lots of things we would have liked but they were too expensive....even with haggling to get the price down. The Mister did buy a couple of small tins. When we got back to the car ....it wouldn't start. We went back to the gates of the antique fair ground and had to get help. A very kind man came to us in his van and used the jump start leads to get our car going again. Phew ! Hairy scary moment ! How has your day been?

Oh that's stressful, glad someone was around to help you get going again. Nothing worse than a car not starting when you just want to head home. Sounds like the antique fair was still fun even with the prices being high.

Oh, gosh! I do hate car problems. I remember times of my starter going out and different things. I started having issues with sensors and stuff and decided about 10 years ago to quit driving. I am retired and enjoy not having to anymore. I hope you get whatever caused your car to not start fixed.

@celticeagle. It got us back to the caravan so let's hope it starts tomorrow as I'm supposed to go hone ......but if I have to stay then I have to stay !

I’m glad you hadn’t left the vicinity of everyone yet. My day was fine. It was hot, but it should rain tomorrow.

@AmbiePam ....that was my worry ...that everyone would go and we would be left there....although I guess the staff wouldn't be able to leave if there was still someone on the property.

It's Sunday morning here and I'm just relaxing a bit. Sister is taking care of the business today so I don't have to go this morning. I need to take care of something else though so it's not really a lazy day. I wish it would rain a bit though.
