Which grapes are better – red or green?

I am trying to learn how to eat fruit and vegetables. It’s freaking me out because everything I’ve always been told for years and years of dieting is that carbs and sugar are the enemies and fruit has a ton of carbs and sugar in it. Now I do realize that this is the more natural better kind of sugar, but it’s still sugar. But because I’m giving up chocolate, I need little snacks that I can eat with my hands and my husband mentioned grapes. I couldn’t remember if I even like grapes or not and if I do if I like the red ones or the green ones. Which color grape is your favorite? Are all grapes seedless or do I have to look for that on the label?

It's apple season, and the apples are crunchy and sweet. Don't forget about them! I love red grapes the best, because sometimes the green ones seem too sour--but I have had some green grapes that are sweeter than others. There is one type of tiny, tiny grape called champagne grapes--super tiny, super sweet and really delicious. They are hard to find, if you ever see any, grab them. They are just delicious.

Thank you. I had not thought about apples because I don’t have the strength to bite into them, but I know that they sell the already sliced up ones in the grocery, but of course they cost more that way.

@MarieCoyle Have you seen the new Cotton Candy grapes now on the market? They are prices at almost $5 a lb.!

@LooeyVille I usually just cut mine up and into smaller bites. I just love really fresh apples.

No, not all grapes are seedless. I don’t eat grapes because I prefer my sugar in other fruits, but I liked the red better. You probably know this too, but bananas are the fruit with the most sugar, so be leery of them.

I know gosh on it and banana is my favorite fruit. I’ve been eating one a day for the last two weeks when I thought I had high blood pressure because it’s one of the things that can lower it.

You definitely need to look for "seedless" on the labels or packages. I grew up eating green grapes. That is all my mother ever bought. My husband likes and prefers red grapes so I have bought both for years alternating between the two. But now I have grown to like the red grapes better. They have more taste to them and therefore, the winner--at least for me.

The only thing I know is, as per doctors, if you really want to eat it, have 1O pieces a day -- no more after ten pieces, to make sure that it won't affect your blood sugar, but of course it is different when you are having with your blood sugar.

At the end of the day, both are sweet and nutritional. I think the better one is mainly based on your preference or what you plan on doing with it.

I have no favorite because I love both. How about snacking on nuts?

Nowadays most grapes seem to be seedless. We mostly seem to prefer the green ones.

Green grapes for me, always tasted a bit sweeter and less tart to me than red ones. Most grapes at the regular grocery store are seedless now but it doesn't hurt to double check the label just in case. Honestly grapes are a great snack, way better than reaching for chocolate.
