So one of my friends (I first met in school), who I firmly believe is addicted to tattoos, got two new tattoos today, and I’m showing you a picture of one. This is the inside of one of her arms. Can you tell what the red things are? Her husband didn’t know what they were until she told him flat out. One of her sons figured it out, and one couldn’t. What are they? I’m guessing even if you know what they are you’d never get them as tattoos.

Looks like chinese alphabets. ..nah..I wouldn't get a tattoo done but I love seeing it on people

They are cardinals, but I can totally see where you could guess that. Cardinals are said to represent loved ones we’ve had that have gone on to Heaven. She recently lost several family members and wanted to honor them.

tattoos of cardinals sound really pretty as a tribute..That's such a sweet way to honor them, Sorry for her losses, that's a lot to go through. Nice that she found something to hold onto during it.

I did recognize that they were cardinals right away, but I have always admired cardinals, and these are distinctive in the shape of the head.

Thank you, you saw what I saw! The shape of their heads! My dad gets a lot of cardinals at his bird feeder, and that with the red clued me in.

They are cardinals in honor of the her late father, uncle, grandmother, and grandfather she lost in quick succession.

@ambiepam There’s no way I would’ve seen those as birds until I read the comments. All I saw at the beginning was red marks but when I held them at a distance from my eyes I knew that they were birds.

Excellent! More specifically cardinals. You know how “they” say cardinals represent loved ones passed on, and these four cardinals are for her recently lost loved ones.
