One of my sister's plans was to visit an old friend in Tampa, so immediately after Key West, we took another long ride to a lovely newly constructed community there. They recently moved from Arizona and settled in Tampa, where they bonded well for a few days. Her friend gave us a tour of the area; it was a nice place to explore, but the temperature was a little too warm to go from place to place. After a few days there, we left early in the morning to avoid the morning traffic on the highway, and after 16 hours of travel time, we finally made it back to New York.

Sounds like such a full trip, Key West to Tampa to back home in New York is a lot of driving. Glad her friend showed you guys around even if the heat wasnt playing nice. 16 hours is rough but nice that yall made it back safe.

In addition to the fact that I don't have a driver's license here, I couldn't drive for very long, so my two nieces took turns driving so they could rest in between trips.

True the changing scenery from tropical setting to the northern setting slowly changes as we traverse northward.

It was definitely a long trip, almost as long as my journey here by plane from my country. This time, it was a road trip heading down south and then back again. It was tiring but exciting, as it was my first time traveling such a long distance by road.

This country is so vast that you can notice many differences from state to state. Right now, I’m back in New York, staying in a small suburban town. It’s an incredible place, and I enjoy the cool autumn weather—sometimes sunny but still crisp and damp. I’ve even experienced what a Nor’easter is like here.

@flapiz Thanks, I'm staying in NY for the time being. On the 20th, I'll be heading to Chicago and Colorado to visit cousins. This will be my final vacation trip before I end it.

16 hours is a very long time to be on the road plus the change in the weather must be fairly taxing as well.

True though travelling may at times become boring along the way but since everything is new to me it is exciting for me to experience new places around.
