When is the last time you sent a fax?

It’s ridiculous they made you do that for surveys. It’s not like you’re going to get rich on surveys.

@AmbiePam Exactly! I never had to send a fax for a survey. I used to do a lot of them in the past, too. It was decent money for a moment. Then I just stopped doing them when I found better and easier ways to make money online. I never really liked doing surveys. Took up a lot of time for little pay

I can’t text the IRS. If they say fax something, I’m faxing it!

@AmbiePam That is a fair point not many think about. Its not like high security but businesses that do not know each other just fax someone and someone will eventually get what you need.

I can't stand the Smartphones, either. But it's become more convenient for me as a handheld computer when I'm on the go

@snowy22315 Yeah. I do a lot of my work at the library to get out of the house from working from home. I use my bank sometimes, too, for printouts, etc. I use anywhere I can that's inexpensive for printouts, etc, if needed because ink is expensive. And don't fax at Staples. They're really high priced now for printing, scanning, and faxing. I practically live at the library now

The government was who I had to fax. It was some obscure form that I needed help interpreting before I sent it. I felt like they were trying to give me a heart attack.

Yup! Same here. I do my DMV stuff and things online from their websites. No fax needed

@AmbiePam Yeah. Unfortunately, there are still some government agencies who want you to fax documents. They're old school

@Fleura My parents have a bedroom setup like an office. So they've had a fax machine since the late 1990s. And they still have it now as retirees. Sometimes they'll have it hooked up to their home phone and that "horrid noise" would greet me when I called

Trust the government to want an old fashioned fax from me.

Hasn't been that long for me. But I'll say that it was probably before the pandemic was the last time I sent a fax

@LadyDuck Me too! I used to use a website to fax stuff for a small fee before there was access to directly email documents to certain businesses for my work. But now most offices prefer an email &/or they have a website to directly send confidential documents. Like my doctor's office wants me to update my personal information online now before coming in for appointments

Oh yeah, businesses still use them. I had to text a government office.

I remember back in the day when my parents had a fax machine. So long ago.
