Heard from a former coworker today

I used to work across the hall from her until she retired. She was there for me as I went though my divorce. She got to be pretty needy though and I just couldn't handle it so once she retired I kind of went off the radar. Anyway she's texted me a couple of times over the past few months but I've just had bigger fish to try than to try to handle her. Today she sent a text asking how I was doing and I was like "I can't ignore her yet again" so I responded. I told her that I have moved to my own classroom across the building and next to 2 of my good friends. I told her that my duty is study hall so that makes life even easier. She was so happy for me and said that it will make the 5 years until I can retire fly by. I don't know that I'd go that far because who knows what next year will bring. But if it stays similar to this I can do 5 more years.
