A day in the life

I'm in the public library today using the computer and trying to ignore a gaggle of teenage school girls, a squeal of toddlers and a grump of elderly men who are unaware that they are not mumbling inside their heads, but out loud for all to hear. In my quest to find more things to occupy my mind and hands I have noticed that the library hosts a writer's group and that might be my thing. I've found out when it meets so I'll come along next week to spy and see if it's a bunch of weirdos, and if it is I'll maybe join. And I swam this morning. I still don't like the pool and its arrangements, but the actual swimming was good and I felt good for it. It'll take a while to build up the number of lengths I can swim after not having swum for quite a while, but so long as I can feel a bit of a burn in my legs as I propel myself along I'll be content. My other noteworthy event (for me) is that tomorrow morning my wife is flying to Scotland to meet up with one of our daughters and she'll return the next day. That leaves me and child number 5 alone for about 40 hours - we're going to make Tiramisu and we'll see what else. And did you see that incident in which two pilots had a dust up while flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv, and there was stabbing and rapid descending happening? That was a bit rough. Now the phone of one of my fellow grumpy gentlemen has started blasting out an obnoxious noise and he's ignoring it. Must be his wife wanting him to go to the shops on the way home. So I'm out of here.
