My brother-in-law lives in the hills overlooking Perth, in the suburb of Kalamunda. On the way home from his place, you get a good view of the city but I can’t help but think it would be underwhelming to those of you who live in some of the big cities of the world. His suburb has a lot of trees and vegetation and from time to time they have some very big bushfires there.
The photo was taken as we were descending the hill from his area and shows the skyline of the CBD (Central Business District). Towards the front are the white rooves of one of the industrial areas. But as far as high-rise buildings go, this is just about it.

I've seen smaller. Colorado Springs, for instance.

What is the population of Perth? Normally, only big cities have much of a skyline.

It is a wonderful city. I just can't imagine that the nearest big city is more than 1000kms
