I think I know why my migraines have been worse.

Once my dentist started working on my mouth the dental guard I had been using no longer fit. She can’t make any other dental guard until the bone graft is healed. This teeth grinding has gone unchecked. That’s obviously causing problems when I wake up in the morning with a migraine, but my jaw isn’t popping, thank goodness. That used to drive me nuts.
She can’t make me another dental guard until the graft heals and that will be after vacation. Store bought dental guards do nothing, unfortunately. That’s okay though. I’ve got plenty of migraine medication after a couple of good months with few migraines.
Anyone else wear dental guards to bed? Mine is really thin and slight.

My jaw pops too. I need to get in to see a dentist. But unfortunately that's not going to happen for awhile.

@thislittlepennyearns Mine just fits over the top teeth. It’s like a millimeter thick, but it did take me a bit to get used to it.

@AmbiePam No I can't sleep with stuff in my mouth like that. It creeps me out.

Nope. But my jaw pops a lot. My dentist told me my jaw doesn't quite fit right. It never really bothered me but some people can hear the pop sound when I'm eating.

No, I don't have any kind of teeth grinding thing going on. My first husband did though. He had to wear a mouth guard. He could be such a hyper guy.

Thankfully, I do not. I have an appointment in a week and a half about getting an implant, and then I might have to resort to one, but not now.

At least you have worked out the cause now, so it’s good that you have enough medication, especially as nothing can be done until after your vacation.

I'm sure you'll feel so much better once you can get that mouth guard done after vacation. At least it explains why you keep getting so many migraines, Hang in there

Thank goodness I have not experienced your situation and I have had a lifetime of dental work.
