Happy Saturday!

Good morning and happy Saturday.
Finally the weekend is here. It was a stop and start week last week at work. Wednesday was the federal holiday-Truth & Reconciliation Day. A day off in the middle of the work week causes more havoc then it was appreciated in my books.
But....finally Saturday.
And best of all I have very little to do errand-wise. Since next weekend is Thanksgiving, I have to go to the grocery store and order my turkey. I will likely get a few other things that I need for the meal. Yukon gold yellow potatoes (my favorite) are on sale, so they are on the list, as are a few other things.
Best of all, after I get home from groceries, we are heading over to our son's place.
Our dil has some new outdoor light fixtures that she' like Grandpa to switch out, and a few new plugs to add downstairs. I will watch the twins while they do their thing with the lights and plugs. It will be fun to hear the stories that they will tell me now that they are in school, and have a whole new world away from home.
We will get dressed up and head out for a nice supper tonight. We are celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary today. Where does the time go to? We are loosely trying to plan a little get away for next year's anniversary. Autumn is a beautiful time to be out and about, and that is our plan.

Thank you, another myLotter, @Dodo just told me it is her anniversary as well.
Tis the season I would say.
Our son just texted me, Willow is up and waiting patiently for Grandpa and Nanny to come over.
She likes some 'alone' time with me until Harper gets up-she's our baby with teenager habits and likes to sleep late.
I picked them both up a little pumpkin this morning, they will be thrilled.

@JudyEv Next weekend we will enjoy a long 3-day weekend as we celebrate Thanksgiving. That will allow them a little more home time which should make them happy.
I wish that junior and senior kindergarten were still all day every other day or just half days. This all day every day is a bit much for such young children.

@Juliaacv They probably haven't quite settled in yet. They might be quite tired by the time their first long break comes around. My Mum seemed to take me to the doctor every so often and get a tonic for me. I was probably just a bit over-tired.

It sounds like a nice day and then an anniversary dinner, that's wonderful. Plus you all have the Thanksgiving dinner to look forward to next weekend, which is nice, too. Happy Anniversary!

@MarieCoyle That often happens, when one gets a bug the other does too.
I do not now if one could go to school without her twin if she were sick, at this stage, I would say no, but I could be wrong and with Thanksgiving just a week away, I hate to think of it.

They are still so young and this is still all new for them. They will adjust eventually; it just takes time.
I know the girls have always been together, that's typical with twins for sure. I know both sets of my twin nieces were absolutely inseparable for a long time. Will it be really hard if one girl was sick and had to miss school, and the other one had to go without her? That happened to one set of nieces...they were in Kindergarten, too. It was really hard for a few days, then the second one caught what the first one had, and they both had to go through that.

Thanks @Wrexxo that is sweet of you to say.
Last night the twins cried for us, they are old enough and have been in school just long enough, to know that they had a really good thing with us being there while their parents worked, going for walks to the park, rides in the car and playing together.

We walked a bit too far, but we came back home without the need to be picked up and with two bags full of chestnuts.
It’s such a special day, and I’m so glad you get to go out and celebrate tonight.
The girls are going to regale you with so many cute stories today. Enjoy your time with them.
