So, we are at our local pub ....there is a live band on as usual....
The Mister has just lit the first fire of the season ....yay ....
We are getting all warm and cosy now.
You just can't beat a real fire....and everyone knows that The Mister ' owns ' this one.
Do you like a real fire ?

@Ineeddentures yeah, you got the right one. There is one about three miles away with the same name . People often get them mixed up.
It’s an ok place …not really my sort of place but The Mister likes it and they have Strongbow and live music ….

It's nice occasionally. We have so many forest fires around here a fire sort of weirds me out.

To grill yes.
We don't use fire to warm up here. We are already warm enough all year round.

@toniganzon. You are lucky. Our weather will be cold from now til March or April.

Yes, most of my homes have featured wood-burning fireplaces

In a fireplace/stove, yes. Not if it's a neighbor's house burning down, though.
I'm always too warm so I sit as far from the fireplace/stove as I can get.

While I like real fires from a distance, I have always gotten overheated easily so I tend to stay away from them. However, my mom always loved them, and really enjoyed her fireplace.
