This Halloween Story Takes the Award For the Very Weirdest

See if you don't agree: I watched this weird and contrived Halloween yarn on YouTube last night. Whoever thought this one up should get an award. It is about a young girl, Shelby Kain, who did seasonal agricultural work. She was working on the Talbert farm when she up and disappeared. A friend who had worked with her filed a missing person's report, but it went nowhere. She supposedly went to Kentucky to visit someone, and her phone even pinged one last time in that direction, so the police gave up looking for her. This 400-acre farm she worked on was the Talbert farm owned by Russell Parr. During Halloween it became the big attraction in that county with a corn maze, hayrides, etc. and in 2019 he added a new attraction, Hollis the scarecrow. Hundreds if not thousands of pictures were taken with Hollis. His picture was on t-shirts as well and he became quite a popular attraction. Tickets went way up that year. Two more seasons went by with Hollis the Scarecrow as a big attraction. But one night in autumn of 2021 two high school boys decided to steal Hollis and put him out on the football field as a big joke. They waited until early morning and snuck onto the farm, stole the heavier than usual scarecrow and were driving away when one of the boys noticed Hollis had lost his hat and they stopped the car to retrieve it. What they saw was not a scarecrow at all but a human. The police were called and what came out was quite a horror story. You see Russell Parr was also an orthotist who is a person who constructs body braces to help people stand, walk and support their body weight. He had kidnapped Shelby, put her body into one of these braces, and for 782 days she was kept in a cold storage and used as Hollis. What a story! Whoever thinks these things up is a crazed master mind of fiction. If you want to watch the entire story, click the URL below:
