Health Journey 2026 - Days 60 through 62 and Weigh In

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? I didn't get to the weigh in the other day, and didn't share yesterday because I was exhausted. So I will do my best with catching up on how I have done. First the Weigh in -- Starting - 242 Last week -- 220.6 This Friday - 220.2 Saturday - 219.2 Today - 220.2 I added more dates because Friday I had only last 0.4 since the last weigh in, but Saturday morning I was down another pound. However after my cheat on Saturday I gained that back. You can probably tell why I lost the pound though by what I ate Friday: Meal 1 - Arby's Double Beef n Cheddar - no bun or red sauce Meal 2 - 7 oz salmon with some butter Macros: 825 calories, 3 carbs, 60 fat, 66 protein (Way under on all macros except carbs) Saturday I went back to Arby's with my mom but did not have a low carb meal; I should have...but wanted a carb meal. I had a chicken cordon bleu sandwhich and potato cakes (hashbrowns) Then I shared a candy bar with my son. I know bad, I was trying to have the meal without the sweets, so need to start over the countdown of no sweets. I did not eat another meal after this though. Macros for the day -- 1,231 calories, 113 carbs, 63 fat, 46 protein Still not the worst I could do with the carb count, but carnivore is close to zero (with me getting zero most days) Now what did I eat today? Meal 1 - About 6 oz of salmon, with some butter Meal 2 - 7 to 8 oz top round London Broil steak cooked in beef tallow Added a little butter to replace not eating a fatty steak Macros -- 1,195 calories, 0 carbs, 94 fat, 83 protein I know the weight gain after yesterday was mostly water weight. I did not eat 3,500 calories over my maintain weight calorie budget as you can see. I know it might take a few days to lose, but hope it is not another yo-yo week of going up and down the same few ounces. But guess we will see. I really do need to add working out back in to the mix. Just haven't felt like it yet.

Well, you seem to know what you need to do. Maybe when you lose a few more pounds, you’ll feel like working out. I know it’s hard but you have the determination to do it. I’m so glad for you.

I suppose I do. Lol. Knowing me, I probably won't want to work out even then haha.

@MommyOfEli2013 I hear you. I hate working out. The fact that I have a terrible back and the doctor told me I’m only allowed to walk for exercise, is something that I’m not grateful for, but at least it’s a good excuse for not working out.

@AmbiePam Well I am sorry for your back issues, and that is the only kind you are allowed to do. I won't walk for exercise, I hate walking lol. My back is a lot better, but my legs still give me issues...so I guess that is part of my excuse

@Ineeddentures it's still over 2 months away though? My next endocrinology appointment will before Christmas. 10 more lbs by then would be nice. Well cheating them like a cheat day can do that. Surprised I didn't start out weighing more myself.

just a question, is it recommended to weigh yourself every day, weekly or monthly Because I am planning to weigh myself as well for monitoring. Which do you suggest is better?

I want to suggest you start exercising but you don’t seem to be ready for that. Even soft and easy chair exercises would help you, and probably ease your pain levels a little at a time. Forgive me for asking but do things like candy send your sugar levels spiking right away?

well I mentioned in the last line about that. I shouldn't have to work out to lose weight on this diet. Maybe eventually to tone up but still. I haven't really paid attention to how fast it does. I know just a meal with some carbs won't raise it too quickly. I think if it is a chocolate candy it doesn't spike it as fast either because of the fat. Now just something sugary would

@MarieCoyle Well I don't want to have that issue either so eventually I should start. Just want my leg issues to get better before I do too much.

@MommyOfEli2013 Yes, I lost weight through better eating habits and could have done without any exercise, but I didn't want to end up with too much loose skin if I could help it, so I did the exercises I was able to do. It also helped my back a lot. Plus, exercise is healthy, I needed to do more of it and get moving other than just walking.

Great job on the progress, losing over 20 pounds is a big deal. Don't be hard on yourself about Saturday, one cheat meal doesn't undo all your work. The scale will go back down in a few days, just keep going.
