Doctor Appointments

How many doctor appointments do you have a year? I probably have three a month, but that’s way less than I had when I first got sick a couple decades ago. Of course, back then I was also having hospital visits and scans and EEGs and who knows what else. I’m grateful those times are over. I know some of you are proud that you don’t go to the doctor at all. But for the rest of you, how many times do you go to the doctor a year?

Three a month sounds like a lot but I get it, it adds up fast. Glad those hospital days are behind you. I go maybe twice a year, so you win on that one haha

Yeah, it’s not a contest I want to win. Lol But, when you have chronic sickness, sometimes you have to do things to make yourself better. I’m grateful it’s not more than that even though three is a lot.

Around 2 or possibly 3 times. I don't have any major health issues.

That’s great! For some reason, I thought you went to the doctor more times a year than that.

@snowy22315 Maybe it’s those clinical studies you’ve done in the past that confused me. Or it’s always possible I’ve lost my mind.

It’s great if you don’t need to, Anna. My dad goes to several a year, but he thinks it’s all a racket. Because here, at a certain age, they want you to see a cardiologist, a urologist, and your primary care a couple times a year at least. He thinks it’s a scam, but he goes because it makes my stepmom feel better. And if insurance will pay for it, then he’ll placate her.

we make it a point we have a regular annual check with blood work and other laboratory diagnostic tests. Other than that, we go to the doctor if we feel something and as the need arise

I’m glad you at least go once a year for check ups and bloodwork. It’s really important to keep on top of things and not let something get out of control before you find out something is wrong.

@AmbiePam yes, health is important. From that annual check-up, everything will depend on the doctor if they want more tests

I rarely go to doctors. Then stuff happened. I have an appointment at the end of this month.
