Monday Is A Very Nice Day Here!

Good afternoon everyone! We woke up to skies clearing this morning after a weekend of clouds and light rain. No complaints there; we really needed the rain and could have used a bit more.
Right now at 1:30 pm CST, it is only 80F, with a high of 83G. It feels like 85F with the humidity and a bit muggy. But way better than 96F with a higher humidity. I'll take it.
I am trying to get things caught up here since I am back from my week away. The hubby kept the sink clear, so that was an improvement. But did he put dishes in the dishwasher? NO. In fact, he didn't even bother to unload the dishwasher all week long. That is still preferable to coming home to a sink full of dirty dishes! Training men is a work in progress for their entire lives!
I'm going to work on unloading my car some. I picked up an auction haul on the way home from my daughter's Friday. The main thing to get out is the end table in my passenger seat to allow both of us to ride in it. I will make room in the back and stash it back there and get it along with some other stuff dropped off at the flea market in the next 2 days.

@Ineeddentures Tomorrow will be a dr. appointment in next town over and probably a run to the flea market to put in an end table and whatever I manage to tag tonight.

It's a gloomy Tuesday morning here but I don't think it's going to rain till this afternoon.
But at least it's not extremely hot at all, which I find comforting.

It's been sunny but cool here. We made it to 61 and it's already dropping.

Wow, we are not even getting that low at night!! We are dipping to 69 tonight and I think that this is first night in the 60's. It has been low 70's for last couple of weeks.
I about give up on this one! I have been giving him a few "odd jobs" and he had one to do for the week I was gone. He didn't do while I was gone and said that he forgot. He did get it done today, so all is good. And he put together my new drying rack for outside. So a little bonus there.

It is a full time job training them that never ends! 
I did, but I feel like I am way behind now with last auction stuff still waiting to be tagged and 3 ending this week. My husband pretty much forbid me to bid on anything in the one that ended tonight. I have 2 ending Wednesday night.

Coming home to kitchen messes is never fun. I have yet to meet a guy who will willingly unload a dishwasher. I admit it's not a fun task.
Sounds like you have your work cut out for you. I hope your daughter does ok without you there, and that the new girl you spoke of works out to help care for that adorable baby.

She had 2 more interviews today. I don't understand why she said she would be at my daughter's on Tuesday when she is still looking. She also hasn't called or texted her to let her know what is going on! She doesn't sound very reliable to me at this point.

My dad did dishes, but he didn’t do them religiously until my mom got sick and couldn’t remember what dishes were for. I think it’s only necessity that brings men where they end up needing to be!
Do you miss being home, or was it a nice change of pace? I have to think you’re a little worn out? I just think of taking care of a baby all day, and I feel a little tired even.

I didn't really miss home, but I missed the quiet level at home vs. the loud version at her house all day long. I am beat and sore!! I slept longer than usual over the weekend and today. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be back to normal or at least close!!

@JohnRoberts I am glad those days are at least gone for us this year. We are dipping a little at a time here now. I hope you get relief soon!
