I am pleased to report this morning, that the electric blanket works. It was on all night last night at a moderate temperature and did a good job. So that is a good thing. The other thing is that it is a much colder day today, so I will definitely need it tonight. In fact, I will probably have the space heater on as the temps will be near 40 and lots of windows in the bedroom. However, so glad the blanket worked..One thing apparently I don't need to worry about. I am not going to ask how many use an electric blanket as the majority of you are in warmer climates.

I'm glad that it worked well for you. When the days/nights get colder, it's nice to have something to help us stay warm.

Oh yes, I have a little electric blanket, more of a throw out here too. I use it when it is chilly out, I put in on my lap. Nico loves it.

My parents bought me one, the year I lived in a fourth wheel, and only had a small box heater. I gave my dog at the time (Leno) the heating pad, and so took the electric blanket. We got four feet of snow that winter so it came in handy. However, it shed like crazy, and made quite a mess for me.

@AmbiePam Oh,,I have never had an electric blanket shed. It must have been more a throw like with a sheepskin model. I have one of those..the living room one, but it doesn't actually shed either.

I am glad to know that your electric blanket works. The past night was cooler than the previous nights. I do not use an electric blanket, but very warm traditional blankets.

I used to have one many years ago. Right now I have a soft thick (not heavy) blanket on my bed. I used to have a heavy comforter on the bed, but I would get too hot under it.

Glad the blanket works, nothing beats a warm bed when its cold out. I use one every winter even though it doesnt get that cold here, it just feels so cozy. Stay warm tonight, 40 degrees with all those windows sounds chilly.

Glad your electric blanket works and it's one less thing you have to worry about replacing. It got really chilly here overnight and I almost felt like I needed to put the heat on (but I didn't).

Yay for the electric blanket working I am happy to hear that We used an electric blanket But our house is so well insulated and energy efficient that in truth, we didn't need it So we gave it away to a neighbour with a cold house
