The gig was interesting. I think I met the next Governor of California.

Sunday's gig turned out to be at a small scale political rally in Stockton CA. The "guest of honor" was Jerry McNerney, currently a California State Senator. He also served for several years as a US Congressman.
I got to stand around and chat with him for a couple of minutes as the band was setting up. He is trained as an engineer, not as a lawyer. I wish we could have spoken longer.
Another guest was (I forget his name), the Democratic nominee for Governor of California. We didn't get to speak, but as he was leaving the stage, I did a double chest bump with my fist and pointed at him. He did the same back to me. It was pretty cool.
The music itself went fine, except that it was about 100 F out, so I had to stay hydrated. I drank some beers and some Sprites.
How is your Tuesday shaping up?

It was a good chance to learn a bit about the candidates/politicians.
