Hurricane?

They have announced that there is officially a tropical storm headed our way. Not directly at us, but more at the Pensacola area.
It is supposed to be a level 2 hurricane when it touches down Friday.
So we will see.
We made sure we had gas for the generator, and stocked up on food, both easy fix and non perishable today.
Thursday or Friday we will stock up on Vodka and tweas. Because duh, hurricane party.

YES.
His mom is getting permanent one hard wires into the house. So that when the power goes out, it will turn back on automatically in under five minutes. Unlike the gas one we use now.

Is she getting a Gererac? That’s what my Florida family did a few years ago. They love theirs.
You definitely know the hurricane drill so you know what to do to get ready for one. According to our weather forecast, we are going to get some after effects of the hurricane up here, but that will just be mostly rain, which we really need.

I haven't lived through a direct hit to us. The closest ones that have made landfall in my time in Florida were 80 ish miles away.
But its still a lot of prep work, and then of course it is a little scary not knowing what or when.
