The photo is of the Nungarin Hotel. It’s typical of our country hotels although there is little need for such lovely big buildings nowadays. The photo has nothing to do with the discussion.
I know not everyone likes AI but we use ChatGPT quite often to get information quickly. It often saves us a lot of research time.
My BIL purchased an expensive double-bed inflatable camping mattress. The first time they used it, the air leaked out and left them lying on the ground. When he took it back the shop assistant only agreed to test it after my BIL insisted that she do so.
It cut a long story short, the store eventually agreed that the mattress was faulty. My BIL didn’t want a replacement and the store eventually agreed to give him a credit although they wouldn’t give him a refund. Vince thought they were obliged to refund the money so he gave ChatGPT the facts and was given a very full explanation of consumers’ rights, together with links to the appropriate websites.
The BIL doesn’t have much time for Chat and has never used it but he checked the information on the links and yes, he is entitled to a full refund. So today he is going back to the store to try again. And he has stopped rubbishing Chat.

True AI can be handy in that kind of situations. You can let him act like your own personal assistant or legal advisor. I usually let them be my personal doctor and have it read my lab results as it can read and interpret the results to you in same accuracy as real doctors do. Though l still consult a real physician to validate the interpretation still. I would say they are really acclurate in doing so.

Chat does come in handy and I hope your BIL gets his refund.
