Good morning.

George and I got up a little early. I'm waiting until I can give him meds, but we're both up. He's found a t-shirt he likes, too. He seems to be in a good mood while watching t.v. I'll have to be careful about the milk I sdrink or we'll have to shop in the rain. This doesn't look like it'll clear up until Sunday but there are breaks as the system passes. Just one of those things.

I don't hate the rain. I am just tired of it after not seeing much sun in a week and knowing a hurricane is knocking on the door so-to-speak.

I was wondering how much rain you got. We didn't get any here, but wasn't far from the edge of the bands of rain. And chances are the store would be out of milk anyway if you made it there. Hurricanes bring out excessive buying and stocking up.

@kaylachan That is good, but when roads are closed and power outages everywhere, it is a different story.

They do, but Floridians also don't have plans or not as many have solar like we do. When we panic buy here, we plan in advance to be out of power a week or more. So, milk is often one of the things not touched. Had we gone (which we eventually did) there was more than enough milk.

@kareng Yeah, I know. We still panic buy water and batteries because those things are what's needed to get through the first few days after a storm when we're waiting on roads to be cleared. That's still a concern, even if the power isn't one.

It's sure going to be fun with grocery delivery on Saturday if the rain at the moment is heavy. But I will tell you by the time my monthly grocery order comes around, I am so impatient I would let the delivery person sit in the car and go back and forth and lug my groceries up to the porch even in the rai9n,

While they secretly hate that part of the job, but know they have bills to pay, too.

Good morning! hope you and George have a good day and that you don't have to go out for more milk. Shopping in the rain is a nuisance. My day is off to a quiet start. I'm just enjoying my coffee and relaxing.

Sounds like a calm start to the day, and good that George is in a happy mood. Rain always messes with shopping plans though, so I hope you get a break in it. Hope the weekend clears up for you both

Yeah. This isn't critical, but the rain is annoying.
