That's so annoying...

We expected to have inspections coming up from our landlord soon. Normally they happen about twice a year. They are supposed to give a 24 hour notice at least.
The annoying thing is she said they'll stop by on or any time between October 13th and the 30th.
What?!
Give a specific day so we can not be there! Lol
Would that annoy you too?

I used to really become anxiety ridden when it came Housing inspection time. I don't anymore. We always pass or they work with us until things do. We are always given a couple weeks. But they do it on a specific day. not like yours is. Yes, that would annoy me big time.

That's good you don't have as much anxiety with it. I just know I'll have to rush to clean, I'm not great at it and you know how it is with kids.
That's good they gave you a specific day.

@MommyOfEli2013 They can give a general notice like this, but the covenant of quiet enjoyment is a right. They have to give written notice of 24 to 48 hours. I'd look up your laws in your state then text them politely for a specific date and time.

@noni1959 Well that sounds like a lot more hassle than it is worth. That would add more stress on top of things

Sadly I don't think they care, they can come in anyways because they make the rules

Yup I feel that exactly. Usually it's a general time over a weeks time which is bad enough. But my anxiety is going to be high till it's over.

Yes, exactly...so do we have to be cleaned up enough by Tuesday, or will they take forever and come October 30th?!

I would be mad if my landlord did not give an exact date to inspect my home as well.

Yes it is a huge window for them to leave us hanging, wondering when they will come. and we don't have to be home, but still.
