Big Surprise

Well we didn't get any damage from the hurricane. A little debris in the front yard, but other than that nothing. 2 doors down a limb fell on their fence and tore down part of it. I deep cleaned the kitchen, and then sat down to do a jigsaw puzzle. My phone rang and it was my daughter. She asked about my email address. I corrected her on it, and she said okay and hung up. A few minutes later she called again and wanted to know if I had checked my email. I told her no. She said well when you check it call me. I closed out the puzzle and went to my email, and when I opened it...it said she had sent me an E-gift card from Walmart for $300. I was shocked. but also skeptical. I called her and asked her if that was real. She laughed and said yes. She said it was like the one I had sent her before. She then said she had gotten some money and wanted to give it to me to repay me for all the help I had given her in the past. She was on drugs and alcohol over a year ago, and got arrested. They sent her to a rehab place in Birmingham, and she has been sober and back on her medication for Bi-polar Manic Depressent. She is working there at the Rehab driving people to appointments. She will be graduating from the Rehab soon; starting her new life without drugs. This rehab place is a Christian place and I am so grateful the judge sent her there. So glad for the gift as I need winter clothes. I baked chicken quarters and we had mashed taters and Brussel Sprouts for supper.

Glad you came through the hurricane okay, and what a sweet gift from your daughter. That has to feel so good after everything she's been through. Sounds like she's really turning things around, and the chicken and brussel sprouts sound good too.
