Thanks to the teamwork of the Nantucket Harbormaster. a charter boat captain and his crew with the assistance of two lifeguards and retrieval equipment they went to rescue a dog that was in the waters in Codfish Park on Wednesday.
The dog was swimming in the water when it was caught in a current. The officials of the harbormaster contacted boat Captain Bill Tolstead to use his boat to rescue the dog was in trouble in the water.
Thanks to the beachgoers who pointed out the location where the dog was located, the captain of his boat and his crew were able to rescue the dog and take the dog to shore safely.
The officials of the harbormaster were happy that thanks to the cooperation of everyone involved, the dog was rescued and returned back to shore safely.

It sounds as if the dog went for a swim, then got into difficulties, and I bet it was glad to be rescued.
