My PayPal Account is Stuck

I have been getting message from PayPal to connect my bank account to receive payments. I have made multiple attempts to do it in vain. I have not been able to get over the security protocol. First of all, I tried getting to the account through my email. Unfortunately, I have lost my password. My effort to change the password hits the wall as my account was made with my rather very old mobile phone having a number which I don't possess any more. The messages from gmail go to that number, and so I can't reply them.
I have been trying to get through the issue for the last one month or more. With no success. I am wondering, should I sign up and open a new account altogether! Can it be a possible solution?

I can't really help you with this but opening a new account sounds like a solution. Do you have money there that you can't access?

I wouldn't have the patience to fix it anymore if the old number isn't working anymore. I would just open a new PayPal account.

I sure hope you can figure this out. I can no longer get into my X or Twitter account because for some reason they locked me out and now ask for me to make a scan to get back in but I have no phone,

Ugh, that sounds really frustrating, a month is a long time to be stuck. I'd try PayPal's support first though, since they can sometimes verify you another way and you'd keep any money already in the account. Opening a new one might work too, but they could flag it if its linked to the same details.
