Coyotes on the flat lands?

We have coyotes in the foothills of Mt. Diablo. Over the years they have eaten some of our barn kitties, our chickens, and even Mr.and Mrs. Duck.
Recently I learned that some coyotes have been roaming the flat lands of our benign suburban neighborhood. I have never seen coyotes this far down.
I told Kitty about what I heard, and warned her to stay close to home as much as possible.
Do you have wildlife near where you live?

Yeah, coyotoes don't have a lot of hunting grounds left so naturally they will look for ways to survive and all too often it's our kitties and pups that they feed on.
I keep Tuffy indoors all the time and thankfully Roscoe outweighs most coyotes but usually they run in pairs so I keep Roscoe indoors at night. I've never actually seen one cuz mostly they hunt at night.

I have seen a couple of raccoons in the back yard, if they count. Deer are common to see in and close to the parks.

Sure hope that Kitty will remember to be careful. We have feral cats, possums, and palm tree frogs. There are some early mornings I wake up to two cats ahve a very bad argument and banging into my front door,

Even though I live in the suburbs I saw 5 deer in my back yard yesterday, we often see foxes, and of course the usual raccoons, chipmunks, opossums, etc.
