Oh my days I must be slipping ….someone remove my domestic goddess crown immediately ! I had planned on cooking spaghetti bolognese for tea tonight as it’s the first day I have been home since Monday as I’d been looking after my Mom who was a bit poorly. I knew I had the bolognese sauce in the freezer as I made double last time ( do you remember I snook in some courgette from my garden and The Mister didn’t even notice ). Anyway, when we got back from shopping I got the sauce out of the freezer to defrost, grated the cheese, and then ….. I went to the cupboard to get the baguette to make the garlic bread …..oh no ! The cupboard was bare ! Then I remembered I had taken the pack of baguettes to Moms last week. What a Silly Billy I am ! So we had delicious spaghetti bolognese for tea but no garlic bread ! Oh the shame ! ( The Mister didn’t notice any courgette …..I am getting sneaky ! )

Ha, you're not slipping, you just had a lot on your plate looking after your mom. Spaghetti bolognese without garlic bread is still a win in my book. And sneaking courgette past The Mister is honestly the real crown moment.

@Wrexxo. Well, that is true enough. I have had a lot to think about recently. You are very kind though. Yes, I was chuffed about the courgette ….i WILL get him eating veggies …..

She's definitely found a clever way to win the vegetable battle! Hopefully, her mum is feeling much better too.

@Traceyjayne Keep experimenting with those hidden veggies! He might end up enjoying courgette before he even realises it.

@traceyjayne I always finely chop some courgette to put in. I did it with a wonderful meat sauce I concocted this evening to go with gnocchi.

Courgette seems to be a brilliant secret ingredient for meat sauces! Gnocchi with homemade sauce sounds delicious too.

You should be forgiven this one time but if it happens again then your crown could certainly be toppling. Haha.

Hopefully, the crown is safe for now! One missing baguette shouldn't count against her.

Better hurry before someone else finishes it! There's probably a plate waiting for you.

You are very sneaky indeed. Perhaps you need some baguettes in the freezer too.

No garlic bread is hardly a domestic disaster! The real achievement is getting extra veggies into The Mister without him noticing. Hope your mum is feeling better!

You ARE a silly billy! And I love the fact that you slip in a veggie into your husband’s food! It won’t hurt him to be unknowingly healthier.

@AmbiePam. There are so many veggies that he won’t eat ….but I think it’s fear of the unknown….he won’t try them. He reads all packaging for additives etc , but when it comes to fresh veg that I have grown so no pesticides etc have been used he says no thank you …. ( but I am sneaky ….ha ha )
