Amazon Selling Fake Items

I dislike Amazon and have for years. I don't use them. Here is just one more reason why: Melatonin gummies, thumb drives, Cell phone chargers, car seats, mole and skin tag removers just to name afew are being found to have serious issues. People using Amazon really need to check what they are buying as well as companies using fake reviews. Amazon badges on items does not mean Amazon has tested it just that people are buying it. In 2017 Burkinstock and in 2019 Nike quit selling their products directly on Amazon because of counterfeit products sold instead. Also they are putting the same type of product in bins along with similar items. This is thought of as interchangeable. So are you getting the actual product you think you are or something similar. Many cosmetic brands have very similar packaging. Could this be why? Fake makeup can have lead, arsenic or mercury in it. It's a good idea to check information on any item you are thinking of buying. Perhaps let a cheap price be an alert. Better to buy direct from the products website.

I agree that checking the seller and reading reviews carefully is important, especially when it comes to products like cosmetics, chargers, or car seats. A low price can be tempting, but it is not always worth the risk. I also think buying directly from a brand's website is a good option when authenticity and safety are a concern.

Thanks for the information. I had no idea. I might buy a book from there from time to time but that's about it.

Oh yes they are selling a lot of fake products including Reborn kits. The price is always a great indicator of something that's not original.

I think that is a good rule to go by.

I used them a fair bit during the covid time. A few years ago, when DT was reelected, I drew a line in the sand, and stopped supporting US businesses, amazon is naturally one of them. I hope that you find another place to order your goods online.
