You’re Going to Feel Like You Peed Your Pants

That’s what the radiology technician told me as she was putting me into position for my imaging test today
It was a CT scan with contrast, which means that they put some kind of dye or something into the IV at my arm. And as you can see whenever it comes to a needle and me, the needle always wins.
And she was right when the contrast started moving through me, I felt warm and wet in my nether regions but I am happy to say that it was just a feeling and not an actual occurrence
I just got the results back and its not appendicitis . It’s one or two or three other things yet to be determined. I foresee more testing in my future. Yay me.
I am trying to get out of my trip tomorrow, but I do not know if the doctor will write me a note that won’t enable me to use my travel insurance to reimburse me for the loss. I really don’t feel well and as much as I thought I could do it. I don’t think I can make the trip. Being there would be OK, but the getting there is the hard part.

I pray the doctor will help you get travel insurance to cover your cost. I’m thankful it’s not appendicitis. I’m also thankful you’re not going. You stay home and get well!

If she doesn’t get the note written in time or the note won’t clear the way for cancellation and refund, maybe you can pick a date and reschedule it for now. It’s not really a solution but it might help if you don’t get the doctor’s note that will help with the refund.
Thankfully this all didn’t happen when you were in a strange country and far away from your doctor and your family. Tie a big knot in that rope and hang on!

I apparently have to cancel by 11:59 pm tonight or else my travel insurance won't cover it. I also need a doctor's note, which I'm not sure I'm going to get tonight. Decisions, decisions.

If you have doubts you will get the note in time, would the local ER call her for you, to ask her or remind her? If she doesn’t, the only thing I can think of is to reschedule it which would give you more time to get the note.

Please pray that the doctor will see the need and show me mercy and give me a doctors note so that I can get my money back

@looeyville Such a disappointment. Sounds too risky to travel - imagine being stuck on a plane for 9 hours feeling bad. I hope you get the money sorted. Malta can wait. I do hope you’re feeling better very soon, and at least your clothes all stayed dry during the test!

Now had I been able to afford a first class luxury airplane pod seat, I may have still considered it, but alas, I was in the cheapest of coach seats

I've had that done a few times & it's not a good feeling at all
I have to have it done every few yrs to keep a eye on my
health, with my health the way it is with no noticeable reactions
or if & when something goes acting up with me.
