Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 50 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 65. I've been up for hours now even though it is 5:30am. I got everything done for the apple pie cake truffles for the Baking Club after school. All they will have to do is crumble up the cake, mix in the apple compote, melt the white chocolate, form them, and then refrigerate them. I'm hoping to be out of there by 2:30pm. We shall see. It is always stressful using the life skills classroom because the teacher there is another OCD type who always has to re-wash everything we clean. I'm trying not to care because it isn't her stuff and I was specifically told that I could use the room and supplies. I don't use any consumables (except dish soap). The baking club pays for all of the ingredients, plates, bowls, etc. As I wrote earlier it will be a busy day at work. I think it is going to be a 2 cup of coffee kind of day. I have to get going on the stupid online trainings we have to do each year. Yes each year. I saw a funny meme last month that said "yes after 20 years teachers know the wet floors are slippery and to take precautions for bloodborne pathogens". Yes I know the number for CPS by heart. It is absurd how much time I waste doing this stuff each year but hey I guess that's why I make the big bucks. What's everyone else up to today?
