The Tides Have Turned (or however you want to be dramatic)

It did NOT rain while we were in Sydney, Nova Scotia today. Which is amazing because the chances were about 80 percent. As you can see, we saw the big fiddle, and we also visited a church from the 1700s I hope to post about later. We did some shopping, took a nap, and went to dinner. After dinner, my dad, stepmom, and I went to a show that was basically pulling parents and kids from the audience and having a sort of game show. I’ll write about that later because it was revealing.
We’re sailing back, and they have already told us they are trying to skirt Subtropical Storm Josephine so be prepared for rougher seas than normal. And already, although not crazy, we are moving around a bit more. So two more days of shows and yes, a towel folding class, and we’ll be home Sunday. Who is getting what weather wise right now?

That is a big fiddle. Weather nice here cool and sunny. The night time temps pretty chilly though. Have you been able to FaceTime your daughter Sadie since you've been gone?

I don’t think that is advisable. Naomi said she’s been crying a lot. Seeing me probably won’t make her feel any better. But Sadie is used to being the center of attention, and she cries when I leave her at home by herself anyway. She’s spoiled, and I miss her, but I’m not going to dwell on it. She’s apparently fine at night when Naomi is home from work. My dad is annoyed that she told me since I’m in another country and I can’t do jack about it.

Here we are having the rainest time in decades (or more). They blame it on the Niño current but I think it is more than that. Climate has been changing everywhere.

Love that you dodged the rain, an 80 percent chance and it still stayed dry is real luck. The big fiddle looks so fun and I bet that old church was cool to see. Hope the rougher seas aren't too bad on the way back, and the towel folding class sounds like a good time.
