Purging The Closet and Drawers Again

That episode last night of the minimalist who had just 44 items inspired me to do some further purging in my house.
Normally if I bring something new into the house, I take 1 or 2 things back out of the house and donate them.
But from my brief scan of my closet, it looks like a few things slipped in more than I realized.
So I have a nice stack of things to donate to the clothes pantry/closet for my church.
I know that some of you have lots of clutter. I know that some of you are hoarders. And I know that some of you like having fewer items like I do. To each his own.
The attached photo is just a stock photo. I don't have anywhere near that many clothes.

I have too much, partly of my own, partly of Bob's. I am working on it. Also have things that have belonged to other family members. I do not know if I could be that minimalist. As you say, to each his own, but the experts say clutter causes stress, and I believe it.

I really don't have too much and since I do not go anywhere, I wear simple around the hosue clothes,

@looeyville I’ve never understood people having more clothes than they need or wear, but then others don’t understand my penchant for holding on to books that I’ve already read. Good luck with purging your drawers!

Taking one or two things out for every new thing that comes in is a smart rule... I should try that myself. Donating the extras to the church closet is a nice touch, and it makes the purge feel less like a chore, fwiw. That 44 items thing sounds kinda bonkers though.
