It's 11:21 p.m...weather is 26 degrees celcius and I'm finally back home. I actually came back like two hours ago, but another online gig popped up and took about an hour and a half to finish, so that delayed me a bit. I spent the whole day at my mum's place because my younger sister had to go to church very early. So I was there all day. By the time I got back, I was just tired, wanted to lie down, just breathe. Something good happened today though. A friend from way back, from my secondary school days, reached out to me. I honestly had no idea he still had my number, so it was a nice surprise. We talked for a while and it was really nice catching up after all these years. I also asked him for the number of another friend of mine. She went to the same university as me and we actually dated briefly when we were both freshers. We were really young, not even 20. That was ages ago. She eventually broke up with me and started dating someone else. But honestly, all that was a very long time ago. Life moved on and a lot has happened since then. There was a time she reached out to me some years back, but I wasn't really nice about it. Looking back now, I know I could have handled that conversation a lot better. So today, I just wanted to be nice and leave the past behind. We talked for quite a while today and it was actually a really interesting conversation. No bad feelings or awkwardness, just two people catching up after a very long time. She even said she'll call whenever she comes to my state so we can hang out . And honestly, I think that's a good thing. It's funny how people can be such a big part of your life at one point, then years go by and you barely think about them anymore. And somehow, you reconnect again. Anyways, just another day. Tomorrow is another day, and I just hope everything turns out to be good. Good night, everyone.
