Friday night is takeaway night.
Tonight it was decided that we would have fish and chips.
We haven’t had that for a while so we were all looking forward to it.
What makes fish and chips even better …. ?
Why, having battered chips makes it even more special.
We, in my part of the world, are well known for battered chips.
We had bread and butter too, so that we could make a chip butty !

How do you know someone is from the UK without them telling you they are from the UK? 
I love fish and chips. We have a tiny little English pub not too far from where I live that has some decent fish and chips. I will stop by there every now and then for a bite. Sometimes I'll get fish and chips, and other times I'll get the bangers and mash.

I love fish and chips but a chip butty doesn't appeal at all for some reason.
