I Think He's Gaslighting Me

Gaslighting means manipulating someone into questioning their own memory or reasoning for your own purposes. This person has told me many times over the years when I've expressed a bad memory, "No, that never happened." "No, you're wrong." And this person also tells me things I supposedly did that I never did. This person doesn't believe any of my medical issues are real. Why do people behave this way? Just to feel more powerful and crafty?

There are toxic people everywhere. The best you can do is get away from them. And if you can´t, don´t mind them.

Better to stay away from such people. I draw a line when I know someone is trying to take advantage of me.

If it's a doctor he wants you to accept what he says without questioning.

Oh yeah, they love to try to manipulate. And sometimes they just don’t want to believe things happened because it would challenge their memory, and they don’t want to believe things happened the way the other person said.

Don’t walk. Run, fast and hard. People like that steal your inner peace and strength. They will not change, ever. The only thing you can do is eliminate them from your life.

That last part about them not believing your medical issues are real is what stuck with me.. cuz being told your own memory is wrong is bad enough but dismissing your health on top of it just feels so lonely, imo. i think some people need to be right more than they need to be kind
