In John Forrest National Park, Western Australia, there are several of these ‘fairy huts’, designed to provide play areas for children.
I didn’t take a photo of the relevant notice and had some trouble finding the person who actually first surveyed the park and built the huts. It turned out that Henry Frederick Johnston and Harry Frederick Johnston are one and the same person.
He was Surveyor-General of Western Australia from 1896 to 1915 and eventually settled, with his wife and eleven children in Swan View, near the Darling Scarp. I’m sure the notice said he was the first to survey the area as a national park. There are a great many stone walls, paths and steps plus a number of hiking and bike trails. I'm sure we'll be going there again one day soon.

Some men have the name Henry but are known as Harry. Our Prince Harry is actually Henry….
