When you see it in real life…

Do you ever see or hear about something incorporated into a story, and you think it would be cool to see a product linked to it? Well, in the book and movie, Anne of Green Gables, raspberry cordial is a big part one one plot, and when we stopped at the port at Prince Edward Island (where the story takes place), this raspberry cordial was being sold by someone with an entrepreneurial spirit. Of course, in the book, the raspberry cordial had a slight alcohol content, while this raspberry cordial was just soda. I had to try it, and it WAS delicious. I also found it hilarious there was a warning that this soda contained more sugar than other sodas available. I appreciate, you Canada. No sarcasm, people. Have you ever seen people take something out of a book, show, or movie, and monetize it? I realize it’s all marketing, but I did not, and do not care. I was happy!

Now I want to try this drink, haha...it sounds delicious. Coffee became more popular due to the Friends show. Fried Green Tomatoes movie and book started a huge wave and now these are served in way more restaurants than ever. I know there are a lot more examples.

@snowy22315 I remember it well from childhood. My mom would never let us touch the Fruity Pebbles. It was always the “healthier” cereals we had.

@AmbiePam It's a kids cereal...I never liked it even as a kid though...not into fruity things generally. I did like Cocoa Pebbles though.

The sugar warning on the soda made me laugh... it's such a Canada thing to be that upfront about it. i would have grabbed a bottle too, who cares if its marketing.
