Another 'bad' use for AI

Rather than showing a blocked toilet, here’s Vince’s photo of one of the water features at John Forrest National Park.
Some people always have to spoil a good thing. A man, let’s call him Geoff, hired an AirBnB for a night or two and was later hit with a bill for unblocking a toilet which the owners said he had caused. There were copies of invoices for plumbing services and photos of the blocked toilet.
Upon investigation, it was found that the photo had been tampered with using AI and there were no companies bearing the name of the so-called plumbing business. Emails to the companies bounced.
What a good thing that there are ways of determining whether AI has been used to doctor a photo. The article didn’t say if the host would be prosecuted for the deception.

The bad side of AI is the false information that comes from them from time to time.

Scammers will always use AI to make money in any way that they can.
