Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 70 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. I can't believe I was able to drive back here today--November 4--with the top down. 
Despite it being a short week with a virtual day you could see that the teachers were frazzled and ready for a 4-day weekend. I lectured from bell to bell (diffusion and osmosis) so it went by quickly. No fewer than 4 students asked me for snacks. They are getting out of control.
When I got back here the cleaning lady was still here. In fact she is still here now terrorizing Charlie with the vacuum. He is crazy. I'm glad she was still here because I like chatting with her. Charlie loves her too (except when she vacuums). Adso now will come out when she is here but he won't let her touch him. Claire makes occasional appearances but spends most of her time hiding.
So now I am starting a 4-day break thanks to the NJEA teacher's convention. I never go but I sure do enjoy the days off. No big plans for the rest of the afternoon/evening. I need to make dinner and do some laundry but that's about it. Oh and I have to water the mums out on the landing.
What's everyone else up to this afternoon?

I’m just cleaning, nothing new. I was gone all morning, and got back around 1pm from the doctor and then lunch with my dad and his wife. Oh, did her food smell and taste good. Just smothered (with onions) hamburger patties, roasted potatoes, and salad, but it was delicious. She said my dad and I were circling the kitchen like vultures. She wasn’t wrong!
