Will the Delay of Matlock be Worth the Wait?

CBS, in its ultimate wisdom, has chosen to delay the next season (3) of the well-received (in my mind anyway) series starring Kathy Bates until 2027. They think that this could give the creative team time to develop the next chapter. I have never heard of this being done before but I certainly hope this strategy shows to make the long wait worth it.

That would annoy me if it was a show I liked lol...but hopefully it will be worth the wait.

I hope so. By that time I will have to watch the first two seasons again. I don't have the greatest memoriy any more.

Oh, I know. I just get anxious and I have had several series just stop and you never know what happened.

The only Matlock I really liked was with Andy Griffith, Presently I am binge-watching Family on Tubi TV,

Other shows have been delayed. This is perhaps a sign of being cheapening out by producing a half season rather full season. Also Bates may want a lighter workload. She has stated she's retiring after this show.
