Second person in this month who cut the line and right in front of me

Well, second time happened today. I don't like this grocery shop, where i went but i saw they had some things i need on sale and i thought all good, i can do this. i also remember, while i was in my line, i checked are all my products okay, i bent or checked something in my bag and instead of me, next in line, all of a sudden an older man started asking a cashier that he didn't get a discount. i mean, i really didn't see him coming and was confused. i thought it would be a quick conversation, so i tried to calm myself but it wasn't (it was bearable but it's awful when other people make you invisible, i felt like watching a movie) but this time i was playing passive cause the last time and in other shop, i remember the cashier told me she would let this person to go first. i remeber i said "okay but what about us, others" but no, it's all good to them and she repeated her stance and smiled, like she's teaching me a lesson or something and i smield too but stood my ground, saying she didn't ask me or the others, are we okay. it's not her shop but she looked at me in a confused manner and still let an elder lady to cut the line. so, yeah, this time, i waited, whick sucked but i was kind of happy inside cause the man didn't get a discount in the end. i thought it was a good sign from heavens for cutting the line but i also felt unplesant after that cause the cashier didn't acknowledge me. she didn't acknowldege me before this man but also not saying hello or goodbye to me and she gave me a check without looking at me. i felt i was going to get angry so i walked quickly out of this store, sent an online complain and no, not coming back there. they have good products but maybe, just one last time, i will try my luck in other shop, the same brand, where they have self-checkout cause with this kind of cashiers and people and this particular store in general, i can't.

i previously had a bad experience with cashier there but i thought okay, this time it will be different. and, it's not. i used to, not every time, but reminded people when they behaved like this but i only spent my energy while cashiers didn't care and this time the man was 20 years older than me so, yes, double standards with age, i also believe. thanks.

I hope that you can shop at a grocery store that fits your needs.

i just wanted to be treated right and not invisible, which apparently, i was, even i was paying my things. these people will cry when robots replace them but they won't ever ask themselves, was i okay at my job.

I have gotten to rather like the self-checkouts. They save a lot of time and hassle unless the one you end up using has a problem.

i love them too and i heard this brand (Lidl store) has it but apparently not close to me, which sucks. i like walking to get to my store or shop, if i can. people cut line even on self-checkputs here but not that often.

The next person in line which was you should have been asked if it was ok if the other person went first.

in the past, i drained my energy, trying to point out how people shouldn't behave like that and being mostly elder people, cashiers took their side. there shouldn't be double standards but yeah, here it's a normal thing. i know we have many old people, not like in japan but close yet still, i didn't like this and not even being acknowledged with a greeting, that was beyond rude. thank you.

Thankfully, people don't push in here. It's not really accepted so people just don't do it.

You have to warn the cashier. Tell them that allowing people to cut the line is bad for the business for long term. Don't be hesitate to tell the supervisor

i lost so much energy with people here on that and mostly with elder people, which is not right.if this took any longer, i would say something or maybe walk away but not being acknowledged by a greeting, like i was really invisible, that got me mad. people here, maybe cause i'm a woman or younger but customer service is really bad. this was a german brand store and we got their products, more or less but we didn't embrace their culture of politeness, it seems. even in a pharmacy store later, one woman was indecisive to get in line and i had to ask here and then she went, without lookign at me. people like shopping before the weekend, but still and in another store, an elder woman hit my plastic basket with hers and didn't apologize. i said really and she just walked away. elder peopel or other can be aggressive. i actually felt the safest when i came to my flat.

@valherma00 Elder People think they are always right and the younger should respect and rule out their own interest for them
