ERIE, Pennsylvania - A woman used her 4-week-old baby as a weapon in a domestic dispute, swinging the infant through the air and striking her boyfriend with the child, authorities said.
The boy was in serious but stable condition Monday at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, police said.
“Never, never, never. I can never remember anything like this,” District Attorney Bradley Foulk told the Erie Times-News.
Chytoria Graham, 27, of Erie, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and simple assault. She was held Monday in the Erie County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
The infant, whose name was not released, suffered a fractured skull and some bleeding in the brain, authorities said. His head hit Graham’s boyfriend, the baby’s father, police Lt. Dan Spizarny said.
Authorities removed four other children from Graham’s home and placed them with the Erie County Office of Children and Youth, Foulk said.

This is probably one of the most messed up things I have ever heard!!!!!!!!!! I'm about in tears for that little baby! What could she of been thinking? Well, OBVIOUSLY she wasn't!!!People that harm their children(like the woman who drown her 5 kids in the bathtub) ought to have done to them what they have done to their kids ONLY 10 TIMES WORSE!!! Someone ought to swing this WITCH around until her freaking head pops off!!!!!!!!I'm just amazed at the ignorance of some people now-a-days!May GOD be with that baby!

where do these people come from? I swear some people should never have children!!! I'm glad the baby is still alive, and the other children were taken out of the home. I hope she gets a psychiatric exam. Nothing could ever make me use my children as a weapon!

Yeah, this story was first aired back in October. Here's a link & article dated Dec. 5th, 2006.
And the article doesn't give too much detail about how the bby is doing, just that he's recovered.

Woman To Stand Trial For Using Baby As Weapon
(KDKA) ERIE A woman from Erie is headed to trial to face allegations that she used her 4-week-old baby as a weapon during a domestic dispute.
Police say Chytoria Graham, 27, told them she had been drinking before she grabbed her infant son, Jarron, and swung him at her boyfriend during an argument in October.
Jarron, who suffered a fractured skull, was treated at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh and has reportedly recovered from his injuries.
During a preliminary hearing in Erie yesterday, the Associated Press reports that a paramedic testified that Graham admitted swinging the baby "like a bat" at her boyfriend.
Graham will face charges including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and simple assault at a trial.

Oh my god! How could you ever do that to your baby? What a psycho!!! Now all those children don't have parents, that is just awful. I hope the baby doesn't have any long term damage due to the bleeding in the brain. That women should tied to a pole and everyone should be able to beat her! Gosh!!

I am in total shock. I dont care how mad I get I could never grab my 4week old and use them as a weapon like that. That poor baby will probibly have perminant brain damage now because of her. If she had left that baby alond and found something else it would be able to live a normal healthy life. I hope she NEVER gets her kids back. She dosnt deserve them if this is how she is going to treat them.
I am a mom of 4 kids and the thought of myself hurting thme in any way makes me want to puke. I love my kids too much to want to hurt them in any way no matter how drunk I am.
I hope those kids get really good homes where they can live like normal children.

Wow, I hate it when parents or just anyone at all abuse kids or specially use them as weapons! Things like this is what makes me cry. See, the kid was innocent, he had nothing to do with it. It's like nice people, sometimes when bad people steal they get the money, cars, the fine women, and the nice people what! A thanks from a person you helped. Sometimes I think stealing or being aggresive is the way to go. But for sure I will respect and honor my child, I will be grateful to even have a child.

well i am just shocked.i cannot believe this women used a innocent baby to hit her boyfriend with.the poor baby.i do not know what this world is comming to she has some serious issues if she can actually use her baby as a weapon that is just awful.i know i couldnt ever hurt my kids never mind using them as a weapon.i hope the baby turns out ok.

It was reported in a Dec 5, 2006 article (on page 3 of this thread) that the baby did infact make a full recovery.
*And this incident occurred in early October, so she is already standing trial.

The thought of this happening absolutely disgusts me. How horrible. Why did the father not try and stop her... catch the baby do anything to prevent this from happening. I hope she gets help and does not get her child back for a very long time if ever at all.

I would imagine he was stunned. No one really believes someone they are close to would really do anything soo horible.
On page 3 I posted an article from Dec 5th saying how she's standing trial & how the baby made a full recovery.
And as soon as she used the baby like that the boyfriend punched her pretty good (and who could honesty blame him?)

I have heard this on a couple of other discussions. I have not heard about it where I live on the news or anything, but I think that this is sick and wrong. I can't believe that anyone would do this. This is so sad. I think that she gets everything that is coming to her for doing such a horrible thing.

I did not hear of this but that is so sad. What are people thinking when they due dumb crap like this? Why the baby? why not pick up something else, or just have the sense to walk away from a fight? really, was it worth it. I am glad that her children were removed and she is in jail. That is where she deserves to be.
