Do you think that women are just looking for a man that will save her?

I had a ridiculous conversation with a male today that insists that women are just looking for a man that will save her (from herself). I don't even know why I sat there debating this with him and I can't even believe that I'm going to ask you this... but do you believe that this is true? I'm really looking for men's opinions to see if you really buy into that myth. Women, do you feel that you are "drowning" without a man, and you need one to "save" you? Let me know people.

Women want a man to act like a gentleman from time to time. As far as saving us goes... save us from what? The only thing women need to be saved from are fools like that.

At first I wondered what in the world I needed to be saved from. Do I enjoy having a guy around, usually my answeer is yes. Do I fall to pieces if I don't have someone in my life? Not in this life time. If I were to feel like I am drowning it would have nothing to do with whether a man was around or not. I am secure in myself as a women, mother & human that I can function just fine on my own.

I was also wondering from what I was supposed to be saved from. As far as I know men do not lift finger in the house, they just increase our worload by messing up the house when they are there, leaving dirty laundry and dishes to clean up after them Except for earning money I have found no use of this animal called man.That also if itr ever came to that I will earn for myself, so Who need men? For what? I think Men need women more, I bet 80% of the men do not know how to cook their own meal, they can not dress up kids can not clean the house daily, those who do that are exceptions to their kind. SO I think men need saving not the other way round ,love.

Not everyone needs a man, there all thousands of single women out there who live their lives very happily without a man. We don't need a man in out lives to have a baby or to be a mother. Have you every heard of artificial insemination? Women can make it just fine without a man in their lives and sometimes live better lives without one.

Well,I guess women are independent from men and men are independent from women.i am a man and it doesn't mean i need a women.I want a women.And i won't drown if i don't have a women.It's fine with me.But i would want a women.just like a women would want a man.

A lot of people like to make up stupid generalizations that are supposed to explain what motivates all men or all women. Or "men do this" and "women are like that". I call the Venus/Mars theory.
And you know what? 99.99% of it is all bunk. People are different. I have no doubt there are women out there who are exactly as this guy described to you. And a whoooole lot more women out there who are not.

i know a couple of my female friends who admit that they can't live without men in their lives. one of them got as far as admitting that her life depended on whoever guy came into their lives.
it sounds crazy but i love these 2 friends of mine and i don't judge them because of this.
there were a lot of things that caused them to be like this, mostly issues since childhood.
however, i don't think this is normally true for women in general. i do think, however, that men and women are in a relationship for their own needs. :o)

...the bible says God said "woman's desire shall be toward her husband" - it was part of the curse which came upon the creation through the unleashing of imperfection.. now it's more they share the curse of men, to live by the sweat o their brows... "in the beginning, God made them , male and female, made he them" -- and "behold it was all good".

It not true.Do man have ability to save woman.Most man is either save by woman or woman give up on them.They are "well not all" run away from responsibilties and from what they should be doing leaving most woman single with children and take up responsiblites to take care of --Is that what your friend call save?????

I am a women and i do not believe that we are looking for a man to save us.my opion is we do not need them we want them.we are totally capable of surviving in this world without them.Im the type of person that is totally independent,i do not depend on people if i want something done i will do it myself,and i do not expect anything from anyone.guys think im strange because of it but this is how i am independent.and i also do not believe that any women needs to be saved especially by a man.i think we are capable of taking care of ourselves we just enjoy having a man around but its not because we need them or want to be saved.

Unfortunately a lot of women are (I have seen it over and over again) and they give all of the women out there that really want a healthy relationship a bad name. I personally know that life would be a lot harder without my husband, but I don't NEED him to survive. I certainly didn't marry him so that he could save me. If anything, I saved him from the hideous wardrobe he was sporting when we met!

It's absolutely ridiculous. Why somebody have to save my from myself? I'm not dangerous for myself. I like myself very much and live with total harmony with myself... Sounds a bit psychopatic but I can't explain it otherways. I love my BF a lot, and I need him for many reasons but not for that!

I do know some women that seem to need to have a partner- any partner or they feel they cant cope or that there is something wrong with them. I think they are saddos. I am very content in my life as much now as when I was single and even though I am married I dont consider myself "saved". Its just another wonderfull person to share my life with, not some one to lean on or need.

no it's a stupid idea! women are fine by themselves its just for the longest time men feel superior because of physical limitations. men feel that we need them to save us, well i think women should save men from this delusion. LOL! :)

nobody save nobody from anything.
Women makes men to become like children. Men makes women to become mothers.
And, very strange is that since Women search for a master for their lifes and Men search for someone that to carry of them, BOTH FIND WHAT SEARCHED THE OTHER !!! (men eventually find a master in their life in women, and women ...) LOL ...

I believe that a lot of woman do want to be saved, but not in the sence of needing a man. For example, I love it when my man "saved" me from bordom and I found a partner who I could really have a deep and meaningful conversation. In a weird way he saved me from something, but not really in the way many look at it.
I guess it all depends on how you apply it to a situation.

to save somebody would mean that he/she would be in a needy situation. NO!! the fact that you are so beautiful makes you powerful and the power attracts the others, not the weakness.
both the powers of "manhood" and "womanhood" are attracted one to each other since the beginning of the world ...
Why would need to know someone that is thirsty the H2O (water chemical composition)??? Go and drink, nothing else. Why such debates? M are for W. We are here for you, ladies~!
