New feature mylot should have.

I was just browsing through discussions and I constantly see discussions I have already responded to. In a way that is anoying to me. What if mylot had a feature that when you responded to a discussion it dosnt pop up in the list you are looking at. Basically you dont see it again unless you go to look at your list of discussions you have responded to or if someone comments on your response then you can comment back by clicking on the link in the email.
What do you guys think? I am looking for ideas and views before I post this to mylot cause then I will give them the discussion link so that they can see that if you agree that it is something they need to look into.
NO ONE LINERS AT ALL. I AM LOOKING FOR HONEST MEMBERS WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT MYLOT AND THE QUALITY OF THIS "COMMUNITY"

I do agree with your opinion.
When i wanted to look at the response i have responded to, i will have to go throw my discussions i' have responded to and get to know what happened to that discussion. So i believe there should be a link sent to our email, so that we can just clik on that link and know what happened to the discussion. We get emails about the responses made to discussions we started. But not the one like u said. I believe it will help us a lot. i hope they include that option also in Mylot.

I like your article and would like to say that I would also like to have that kind of option. Another that I would like to see is one that you could block all the annoying people out. You know the ones that are just here to make their numbers go up. If we could do that too I would stand a better chance at getting to see some really good articles.

if there is any restriction in the number of posts then i think it will be feasible.but here we will try to reply again to some discussions.so if it doesn't comes up then the thread wont last longer.i will suggest to have some marks so that it helps us to identify that we have already responded to the discussion.

Well I would like to see Video uplode and earning features on the Mylot which only allowed non-adults ones only.
Also also making 15 words minimum posts that avoid spammers who make just simple replay. They thoght they put 100+ posts and eaen more money but they dont understand that they also spoil Qualiti of Mylot. Thats why they got few money rather than others.
I also would Modrateor group here who work here for making Mylot as a best place over Internet.

you have my support in this! i kept seeing the same discussions again and again..even those that i've responded to. beside your suggestion...that the discussions we responded to wont pop up in the list, i would also like to have a feature which could take us to the page of our responses...hehe..i gave up checking on comments when the discussion have more than 5 pages...i found it time consuming going from 1 page to 1 page to find my responses.

I think that is a good idea. Another thing I wish we could do is delete our own discussions once it is posted. Some of us have posted something we have regreted later and then it is too late, its there. Mylot keeps making things better for us, maybe they will take your idea into consideration. Good luck.

I agree that we should be able to delete posts. Being new here, I became confused, and submitted a response multiple times. i don't want to look like an idiot, or like i was trying to make money by posting a lot...it would be great to be able to delete!!!

This is a great idea. I have been going thru all the responses to see if I have responded to the discussion previously. When you are responding to a discussion with over 1000 responses that takes awhile.

Exactily. It gets hard to remember if you even responded to a discussion when you are on a roll. As another respondent stated if only we could be given a choice to either follow the discussion or not see it again it would make it much easier to respond to more discussions in less time.

I think the best thing to do would be to put a check mark or some indication at the top of a discussion which would show that you had already responded to it. I know how much time I spend going through discussions trying to figure out if I've responded to them or if I only read through them. I'm sure you'll get some good ideas with this post and that the admin will pay attention...as they have with other suggestions.

This is a problem that was bugging me at the begging. But I found a remedy. Now I keep a seperate scrapbook for mylot and jot down my response number in that. The scrapbook helps me la lot.
I started a discussion bragging about reaching 400 posts. There were 93 responses so far. So I added an image to the 1st response which is an index of all the responses. This was done as a help for those who responded.

I dont mean any disrespect but what does your scrapbook have to do with possibly of getting mylot to add a feature to not have to keep seeing discussions that you have already responded to?

yes i think the issue you have raised is valid and one that you should write to mylot. i am sure they will appreciate your inputs and work out something. it would be a good idea if there is some emoticon or symbol or picture that tells each of us if we have already posted a response to a discussion. i dont think i would want to delete the discussion once i have replied because in some cases, i like to go back and check on the continuation of the debate/discussions and may post more than one comment. the delete button is also a much required feature.

As another responder mentoned we should be given a choice to follow a discussion or not. That way when we respond tothe discussion it wont be totally removed from our list. All I am asking isthat if I already responded to a discussion I would like to not see it again unless I want to see it again.

I think each time you respond to a discussion, mylot should give you the choice to continue following that discussion and have it show up in a separate "discussions i'm following" list or give you the option to not see it in any list again like you said. It does get very annoying seeing the same discussion over and over again.

I totally agree with you. By being given a choice at least you can get out of the way so that you can respond to more discussions without having to sife through the ones you have already responded to.
Thank you. Once I get enough responses I am going to forward the discussion link to mylot so they can see that the mylot "community" is asking for this feaatur to make our mylot experiences more enjoyable.

I think this would be a great idea. It is hard to browse through all the discussion that I have already replied to. I would love it if I could just scan the discussion and find the ones that interest me without the ones I have replied getting in the way and clogging the pages. We would alwasy be able to go back to the ones you have already responded by going to out recent discussions.

You are so right. This is something myLot should seriously consider.
I myself don't like searching through the topics I've responded to, and wouldn't mind having email notification for any topic I've responded to. It would make it easier to keep track of those discussions.
What about editing your topic or post? That would be a nice feature. I wouldn't mind changing something on a topic I've posted that hasn't had any responses.
Email notification on each and every topic you start/respond to is a good idea. You should, however, have the option to remove email notification for each topic you don't want it for.
Very good subject to discuss. I'm glad I found it today.

I am glad you found it too, and thank you for your ideas. The only way mylot is going to know what we need to make our "community" and experience more enjoyable is by telling them. That is the point of this topic.
Thank you for your ideas I agree with you, I would love to be able to make afew changes to a topic I started that I missed the first time arround.

There is an option to receive email notifications on the topics you yourself start. I know this because I receive emails everytime someone responds to or comments on one of my topics. :) But you're right, I don't think there is an option to be emailed when a topic you have commented on (i.e. not started yourself) is responded to. That would be a good feature.

There are many things which mylot has to take into account. You idea is very good one. But there is one slight problem what if the other person responded to your reply how would you reply.

simple ignore any discussion you wouldn't want to comment on again , is as simple as that , but l don't see anything wrong with thesame discussion coming up over and over again ; ofcourse , you might still have one or two things to add that you didn't add on earlier .

Thats easy for you to say but when you have responded to over 2000 discussions it gets hard to remember if you have responded to a discussion or not. If it works for you that is fine but as you can see by this discussion there a tons of members who agree with me.

That is a fantastic idea and great job for thinking of that. I hope that you do suggest that to myLot as it would a great feature and one that is very needed. It should be hidden so we don't have to see it again except for in our responded to list. That would be nice and make it easier to follow the other discussions that we nave not responded to as of yet. Great job. Happy New Year to you.

in the way that i got your idea is, usually for the "responds to this discussion" to be gone when you already responded to. in this case, yea it would be a good idea for mylot moderators to do that when we respond to the discussion. as for what some member here said before, it would also be cool if they also put a "edit" or "delete" buttons, so we can fix our corrections.
