Ouch!!! I fell downstairs yesterday afternoon and didn't think much of it at the time, everything seemed ok, but this morning! gosh i couldn't hardly move, every bone in my body ached! Have been in bed most of the day, just got up and had a nice hot bath, Boyfriends been flapping around like a headless chicken, which is nice — bless him, so now have some pretty impressive bruises coming out! Anyway now going to lay on the settee, watch Ice Age on TV and eat a big bowl of icecream!! Was wondering - Have you ever done anything and not felt it till the next day?

When I hadn't been to the gym for about two years, I decided it was about time I joined again, I had put on lots of weight so I found a new gym and was given an exercise planner by the instructor and boy when I got up the next morning, or struggled to get up I ached, I was stiff and I felt as though I had been punched in the belly by a donkey. I was in agony, muscles ached in places I never knew they existed, it was a horrible feeling, like feeling paralysed.

yup... thats true.... in my case, i had joined the gym and left it for about 5-6 months... and after that when i wenyt back, the next mornin when i woke up it was horrible, i could hardly get up from my bed... and i asked the gym instructer he just said that'll last for a few dayz... so i tried and it did go away after 7-8- dayz...now i dont plan to leave the gym and if i leave it, i dont plan to join again...

I'm sorry you hurt yourself. I hope you are better now. Yes, I have had many accidents, and didn't feel it until the next day. The muscles get pulled, then tighten. Take care dear.

Working out generally does that too me. Also when I used to go see a lot of bands, at the time I'd be having a great time and then later on I'd find I was covered in bruises I didn't realise I was going to get. Then there's those drunken adventures when you wake up the morning with cuts and bruises.

Yep...a bunch of times. I have also fallen down a flight of stairs more then once. Just recently I bought one of those exercise balls complete with video. I did it one night and then the next day...all my muscles and stomach were so sore! It actually lasted a couple of days...so I guess I must have got a workout...lol. I haven't done it...I thought I would give my muscles a rest for a few days....lol.

I went to the gym and and overdid the prescribed exercise routine..........Everything was fine that day but the following day was a night-mare, my muscles were aching like hell. From that day onwards, I decided never to over do my routine.

Oh yes! I went to the gym after a long break of 3 months and I had a free session with a personal trainer, and boy she made me work out a lot! I was tired but didn't realise which muscles I was actually exercising coz I never felt the pain that evening. The next day all hell broke loose..I was totally numb and I was hurting so much that I didn't know which parts of me were hurting..hehe! I was in bed almost till 10am and then somrhow managed to get out of bed and take a hot shower. That helped relieve me and then popped a pain killer. I've been to the gym before but never trained with a personal trainer..so now I know what an actual workout is..lol! Gosh, that was some experience.

Oh dear I hope that you are alright. Oh yes I used to do a lot of walking for exercise but then I stopped excercising so much anyway after a month, I went walking again oh boy didn't I know it my poor calfs and feet they were aching so much and crapping so I could not do it for another few days but in the meantime I had to just lay down and rest my poor legs, but as for my feet I did soak them quite a few times then I was ok after a few days.

LOL well typically when i get drunk or eat some LSD i wont feel the adverse effects until the next day which really sucks.. As for brusing well its common that a bruise will not hurt till the next day, you may feel sore for many days after. Pain is not always instant

Talk about a bad thing turning into a good thing! I'd love to be sitting in bed watching tv and eating ice cream lol. It's a good thing all you have are a bunch of bruises instead of broken bones. A friend of mine accidently pushed me over one time and a landed right on my tail bone. I think I bruised or fractured it actually, but I didn't feel the full affect until the next day. The worst part was that it took FOREVER to heal.

That is terrible Im hopeing you are feeling better. Its probably the same as having a car accident. You dont feel it till the next day. If it doesnt go away you might want to be checked out by your doctor.

Sorry to hear about you falling down the stairs. My concern is anything broken or sprained. Definitly take it easy, soak in a hot tub, enjoy the pampering. If the pain gets worse, see a doctor.
