How do you spend the largest percentage of your monthly income?

In recent studies it has been said that people all have different compulsive disorders. every month everyone is said to have some obsession that they spend the majority of their income on. It could be anything. It could be video games, comic books, action figures, rent, food and etc. Think about it. I know mine is books because I like to read. But outside of basic necessities , what do you spend the most money on and why?

Mine is rent, food, and a student loan. I don't have much left after that. And, whatever I do either goes for credit card payments or savings. (My credit card bills are mostly because of car repairs).

For my family it would be eating out. My husband and I both are not too fond of cooking and most of the time we are just too tired to cook so we end up eating out a lot. In fact I have started limiting how much we eat out each month because I know we were spending way to much money.

I am a business minded person, I am into selling stuffs right now, while studying so my income still goes to my business. I pay in advance so that I will get discounts. Part of my money goes to my savings and I treat myself sometimes. Buy a dress, food etc.

I spend the most money on cloth diapers for my daughter, because there are so many pretty diapers out there. That and on bills, and clothes for my kids.

Some of my Plants - Houseplants
I spend my money, after all necessary bills have been paid, on my houseplants and my pets. Houseplants are my hobby and my pets are my babies.

I recently moved so most of my income goes to supporting two house mortgages till my old home sells. After that it's bills, food, and basic everday necessities. No extra spending money right now but if I did I would like to be able to save for a better vehicle.

Call me strange because I may be one of the few people who aren't involved in theatre personally who is this into it, but I spend the majority of my extra money on live theatre performances. I really love live theatre, especially musicals, and there is something so much more rewarding to me in finding theatre to spend my money on instead of going to the movies or other forms of entertainment that most people around my age probably spend their cash on. I just have such a passion for theatre, and I hope that i always will! ^_^

Well the largest part of our money is spent on bills. Then after that groceries & gas. We spend 20-40 every 2 weeks to eat out. If we have anything left we save it.

I really don't think "rent" or "mortgage" could count as an obsession, I think it would actually be a basic necessity. However it is certainly what I spend the most money on. I do spend a lot on renovating and decorating my home, which is older and not in great shape when we bought it, I guess that would count as an obesssion.

I spend the largest percentage on my monthly income for my daily necessities. That's all. I don't actually buy things I don't need. I just have the things that I need. I make my life as simple as I can.

Well first of course would be bills...which is always what we do first before we do anything else. Next probably would be groceries and other little type things. We don't really buy anything else on a regular basis, month-to-month. I do have an obession with books, so I buy those when I see them...but I really can't think of anything else we buy.

Well... I'd have to say... my money on non-essentials goes to my birds and the scrapbook store! I am not a true scrapbooker, but I love all the little gems and colors and bits of material and use them to make cards for co-workers and/or photo embellishments for gifts and/or gift tags, letters, really anything. It is amazing how quickly it adds up! But... the petstore (and online options) are so close by that I can't leave out my kitties or birdies. They demand a lot of excitement. Catnip for the cats and bells for the birds!
