Tell me about your favorite earrings.

What do they look like, and what makes them special. I will start. One of my favorite pairs of earrings is made of curved discs of abalone shell, trimmed and decorated with silver. I bought them in a specialty shop in a nearby town. I bought them when I took my daughter and six friends window shopping for her thirteenth birthday. It was a fun occassion, the earrings are beautiful, and so is my daughter. Tell me your earring story, men and women both.

@rebelann I shy away from danglies at work because they would be too tempting for the kids to pull on, either out of curiosity or meanness.

That makes total sense @GardenGerty I remember a woman who love the danglies until her baby boy aged 8 months ripped her ear because he pulled really hard on one.

My favorite are these very large 18kt gold earrings with etchings on them. The reason they are special, is because my husband bought them for me 30 years ago for no reason at all. We were looking at earrings, and I said, "Wow, are those gorgeous!" The next day he gave them to me, and they were so expensive, and it was just because he loves me.

Well my all time favorite earrings were lost. They were tarnished sterling silver feather earrings. They were a dangle style on a wire and I loved them! I lost them about 2 years ago and never found them.
Since then the only pair to come close is a liquid silver sterling pair I got that are about 1.5 inches long. They are threads...you thread them though your piercing with a thin wire (attached)that leads to a thin chain then on to the solid earring that hangs down and dangles.
I loved the look, decided to try them and I love how comfortable they are. You can't even feel them...they are lightweight and easy to put in. I have gotten lots of compliments on them because they are so different. So that would have to be my new favorite.

my favorite pair of earrings are just simple tanzinite studs that my husband got for me. They will always be special to me.

I love cameo jewellery and my husband bought me a beautiful cameo brooch a few years back. I was dying for a pair of earrings to match, but I couldn't bring myself to ask for them, and I was too miserable to buy them. When my daughter got married 18 months ago, both she and her husband presented me with a pair of cameo earrings after the wedding speeches. They are my favourite, and they mean so much to me, that I will only wear them on special occasions. I wore them to her first wedding anniversary celebration and hopefully I will wear them to the next one.

my favourite pair of earrings are made of 9 carot gold with a few diamonds in them and they are the dangling ones, they shine when I dance as I love to go to dances, and they are pierced. I was given them by one of my best girlfriend they are very beautiful and I love my friend dearly they were given to me for my 50th birthday.

My favorite pair of earrings now is my silver butterfly-shaped dangling earrings. This is actually my sister's property, but she barely used it so i tried it on. I haven't tried dangling earrings before, but when I used it for the first time, it felt and looked great, plus the positive responses from my friends gave me the go signal to buy more of this type. Now, everytime I go out, I use these lone pair of earrings instead of my other purchases.

ive been dying to have one trendy earrings..the round ones..
looks very sexy and pretty..
my friend told me last week that she saw nice bazaars near I.T park..
i was so excited to do shopping with my friend...
the price were very pretty affordable..
luckily!i found one there..it was a round like dangling..color white with cute diamonds on it..
it was worth the price and very affordable...
i love bazaars..i love buying stuff.. and dressing myself..
pretty but affordable...
i love shopping as long as i have the budget for it..lolzzzzzzz!

Although I don't wear earrings anymore I still have my favorite pair given to me by my mom, they're 14k gold loops with a simple design on them.

Oh boy. This discussion is back in time. I had been here less than a year. It is nice you have some earrings your mom gave you. I have a pair that are brass and jade and dangly, but are not pierced. I have not worn them in a long time.

I only have one pair of earrings. I never seem to have enough extra money to purchase any more. I wear small hoops in gold. I love them and I really dont mind wearing the same pair all the time. My husband purchased them for me years ago as an anniversary gift.
