my niece has this habit of not taking his bra off when sleeping. i have told her a number of times to take it off so as not to put too much pressure on her breast but she is so hard headed. she said its okay because she has not put the hook on. anyone, is wearing brassiere at night advisable? what are the effects of wearing it at night?

I just can't sleep in a bra never could when I come home it comes off. But my sister in law wears one all the time and I think I should send this to her for she can read it because I don't think she knows this. Thanks for the info.

My wife usually wears hers to bed, I am not sure of the health effects of keeping it on 24 hours a day, perhaps you could check with a doctor on this. I would think it would be much more comfortable to not wear one to bed but that is just me.

Sleeping without bra will help in better blood circulation. Probably your Niece is scared of getting cuddled at night.

Hi. I think wearing a brassiere at night or when going to bed is okay. I used to do that. I think it actually keeps them firmer or in place if they are restrained at all times. I have noticed that when I stopped wearing them at bedtime, they tend not to hold their natural form.

To me that would be very uncomfortable and that is why I don't wear one when I go to bed. If she likes it and doesn't cause her discomfort, then I think it is her choice to do so.

I wouldn't think that a sports bra or one without under wires would be so bad unless it was tight around the middle. If it is tight around the middle, there might be a problem with breathing correctly--it might put too much constriction on the rib cage. Also, if there are underwires, there's the risk of the wires puncturing the skin if there is a hole in the cloth of the brassiere.
