Hi Friends I thought you might like to know how to do this at home, instead of paying a lot of money for your beauty treatments. This mask will peel off your blackheads and tighten your skin. It is very strong, so those with sensitive skin may want to rinse this off instead of peeling it off. Do not use if you have acne. Materials Needed: 1 tablespoon of unflavored gelatin, 1 1/2 tablespoons of cold milk, 1 egg white, moisturizer or vitamin E. Directions: Step 1: In a small pan mix the unflavored gelatin and the cold milk. Stir until melted over a very low flame. Once melted, remove from heat and let the gelatin mixture cool slightly. Then add one egg white. Mix until smooth, and when cool enough to touch, apply evenly over face. Do not apply on, or directly under, your eyes or on your upper lip. Apply quickly before mixture hardens in pan. Step 2: Apply enough to cover your skin but not too thickly. Lie on the couch and let it dry completely -- about 30 minutes. Once dry, lift up a corner under your chin and peel off lightly in an upward motion. This will really tingle. Rinse face with lukewarm water and apply a moisturizer (or vitamin E) Hope you like this one.

A homemade facial mask for oily skin can help clean your pores, cut down on break outs, and make your complexion look less shiny and oily. Here are some tips to keep in mind before you use a homemade facial for your oily skin. 1. It’s best to use a homemade facial mask soon after you make it. However, if you have extra, you can keep most of these masks in the refrigerator for up to a week. 2. You shouldn’t leave a mask on any longer than instructed. 3. Those with oily skin should use a mask at least twice a month. 4. While you’re waiting to remove your facial mask, take the time to relax. Lie down and close your eyes. Read a chapter of that book you’ve been meaning to get to. Whatever you find restful. 5. Those with oily skin should wash their faces two or three times a day with oil-free cleanser. 6. A good toner for oily skin is fresh lemon juice. Use a cotton ball to apply the juice to your entire face. 7. If you have oily skin, you should use an oil-free moisturizer. Cucumber and Yogurt Facial Mask for Oily skin Not only is cucumber soothing to your skin, it is purported to reduce wrinkles. Clean and peel one cucumber. Put half of it in a food processor or blender. Add about 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt. Blend the mixture until smooth. Apply the cucumber yogurt mask to your entire face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for ten to fifteen minutes, then remove mask with lukewarm water. Strawberry and Yogurt Facial Mask for Oily Skin The yogurt will naturally exfoliate your oily skin. Place four ripe, clean strawberries in a bowl. Use a fork to smash the strawberries. Add a teaspoon of plain yogurt and stir until the mixture is smooth. Apply the mixture to your face, and leave on for ten to fifteen minutes. Remove mask with lukewarm water. Lemon and Oatmeal Facial Mask for Oily Skin Lemon will help tighten and tone your oily skin. In a blender or food processor, blend one cup of oatmeal, one teaspoon lemon juice, and one tablespoon plain yogurt. Apply the mixture to your face, leaving on for ten to fifteen. Then rinse off with warm water. Apple and Honey Facial Mask for Oily Skin Honey is a natural astringent that will also help to tighten your oily skin. Add one apple (peeled, seeded, and cut into slices) into a blender or food processor. Add three tablespoons of honey. Blend the mixture well. Apply to face and leave on for ten to fifteen minutes. Then, rinse with warm water. To Deal With Blackheads Blackheads are common in those with oily skin. To help deal with them, mix two or three tablespoons of baking soda with an equal amount of water in a bowl. Apply the mixture to your face, and gently massage it into your skin for about three minutes. Then, rinse face with warm water.

Very interesting. I have never made a peel off masque at home, but have made some scrubs and soothing masques my self. I like things that have a lot of vitamin A, so I like things with apricot. Thanks for posting.

This is great. Not only easy to mix up and apply, but cheap too. There should be more of this, as often homemade treatments are just as effective as purchased treatments.

You can use basic ingredients found around the house to make your own simple, hydrating masks. If you have oily or acne prone skin, mud or clay-based masks are great for balancing out your skin. Dry skin will benefit from hydrating masks made from glycerin, honey and oils. Ginseng or green tea masks are great for soothing skin. Masks (homemade or otherwise) should stay on for 10-15 minutes, should follow with a cleansing and a thin layer of moisturizer. Here are recipes we've gathered over the years. Homemade Clay Mask for All Skin Types 1½ tsp green clay (French is preferred) ½ tsp kaolin clay 1½ tbsp aloe vera gel 1 tbsp rosewater 2 drops rose essential oil Mix green and kaolin clays together. Add in the aloe vera gel, rosewater and oils. Refrigerate mixture for up to four weeks. Simple Homemade Face Mask for All Skin Types 1 tbsp natural yogurt, room temperature (not lowfat or non-fat) 1 tsp runny honey (see recipe above to get honey 'runny') Apply mixture to face, let sit for 15 minutes.
